  3. Re-Entry Policy

All ticket holders will be allowed to enter and exit the festival grounds once each day. As such, there is no re-entry each day of the festival. Camping on-site at the festival is not allowed, as per NYC park rules.

  4. Rain or Shine

The festival is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain, we advise ponchos, waterproof shoes, umbrellas, and singing (in the rain). In the event of sunshine, we advise sunglasses, water, and walking on (sunshine).

  7. Cash & Credit Cards

There are ATMs at several locations throughout the festival grounds with applicable service fees. Please don’t pull a Patrick Bateman on the ATMs. Many vendors accept credit cards, including the merch tents and the food and beverage tents.

Another method of payment, right on your wristband, is Meadows Cashless. Simply register for Meadows Cashless when you activate your wristband, and you will be able make payments with your wristband. This will quicken lines, save everyone time, and make life easy peasy lemon squeezy.

  8. Food & Drinks

Delicious food & drink is a huge part of what The Meadows is, and once again we are teaming up with our great friends at The Infatuation to curate our 2017 food lineup and bring you some of the best eateries, food trucks, and chefs the city has to offer. A list of 2016 food vendors can be seen on our Food page, and 2017 vendors will be added and announced as we get closer to the festival, along with specific food items each vendor will be serving.

As far as drinks go, a wide variety of beverages (including beer, wine, and non-alcoholic) will be served all over the festival grounds, and there will be enclosed Liquor Lounges in both the General and VIP areas, for those of you who prefer the sauce.

  9. Free Water Stations

Free Water stations will be located throughout the grounds for you to use at your convenience and satiate your thirst. It is EXTREMELY important that you stay hydrated at the festival, regardless of how hot it is outside. Also did you ever wonder why Kevin Costner spent a bazillion dollars on the movie Waterworld? It’s because he knew that water is AWESOME, and you need to drink a lot of it.

  10. ADA & Accessibility

Go to the ADA & Accessibility information page to learn more about our Access Program for patrons with disabilities.

  11. Safety & Medical

There is nothing we care more about than your safety and well-being. As such, medical tents will be located throughout the festival grounds, and they will be clearly marked and able to be seen from afar. Trained EMTs will be on-hand in these tents to address any and all medical incidents, and please don’t be afraid to stop by a medical tent – even if you just have a question.

Additionally, if you see anyone at the festival who appears to be in need of medical assistance, please inform a member of our medical or security team, or even help him/her find their way to the medical tent(s). We are all in this together, so please look out for one another! Lastly, anyone bringing medication or a syringe for medical purposes will need to show your medication, prescription and a photo ID at the festival entrance.

  12. Set Times

Set times will be released a month or so before the festival . Why the wait, you ask? That’s because artists’ schedules change, production requirements shift, and we would hate to tell you info only to have to change it later. Stay tuned!

  13. Lockers

Want a safe and secure place to store your things while you attend The Meadows? Personal lockers will be available so you can free up your hands and avoid losing any personal items during the fest. Make sure you check out the phone charging options as well!

    Book your locker here!

  14. Merch

T-shirts, posters, hats, hoodies, sunglasses, blankets and much more will be sold at the festival merch booths. Important Note: we print all festival merch on super duper soft materials to maximize comfort and increase overall happiness. Remember that commercial with the older guy who said “you’re gonna like the way you look, i guarantee it”?…well, what he said.

  15. Wristbands

All ticket buyers will receive RFID wristbands in the mail, and these wristbands are used to enter the festival each day.

  16. Children

Children 5 years old and younger are admitted free. Strollers are allowed. The movie Children of Men will not be shown at the festival (wayy too heavy).

  17. Working or Volunteering

If you’re interested in working at the event, please email info@themeadowsnyc.com and let us know what positions you are interested in possibly filling. Please also be sure to send your resume and your best contact information. Someone will be in touch soon after! Please send any questions regarding volunteering to volunteers@themeadowsnyc.com.

  18. Lost & Found

Lost something at the festival other than your mind? Find something at the festival other than your true self? Email lostandfound@themeadowsnyc.com with as much information as you can provide and we will get right back to you.

  19. Sponsors & Press

Sponsors are rad, and if your company would like to be a festival sponsor, you can reach us at partners@themeadowsnyc.com. Please list as much info as possible on your company, as well as your contact info, and one of our sponsorship reps will be in touch soon after!

Press is also cool. To apply for press credentials to the 2017 The Meadows Music & Arts Festival please fill out the Media Application in full by August 20th, 2017. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered. For any other questions related to press/media at the festival contact press@themeadowsnyc.com.

  21. Random Bad Joke

Why is Peter Pan always flying? He never lands!

  22. Words of Wisdom

Don’t litter, drink water, be kind to one another, mind your valuables, be safe, eat a healthy breakfast, bring found items to Lost & Found, charge your phones, do your chores, pace yourselves, high five a stranger, dress to impress, drink water, shake hands with a stranger using your ∗left∗ hand, don’t litter, take photos, don’t litter, be smart!

  23. Contact

Getting Here

  1. Festival Location
  2. How To Get Here
  1. Festival Location

The festival is located at Citi Field in Queens, New York City.

Easily accessible by subway, Long Island Rail Road, bus, car, and bike, Citi Field is not only home to the New York Mets and countless concerts/festivals, but also apart of Flushing Meadows Corona Park, one of the City’s most historic and dynamic public spaces. Featuring several of the City’s most recognizable landmarks such as the Unisphere and the State Pavilion, the park is home to the Billie Jean King Tennis Center (US Open), the NY Hall of Science, the Queens Zoo, the Queens Museum of Art, the Queens Theatre in the Park, the Queens Night Market (in warmer months), and so much more.

  2. How To Get Here

Getting to Citi Field is incredibly easy. You can get there via the LIRR from Penn Station and/or Long Island, via the 7 Train, via the MTA bus, or via car/taxi. Check out our Getting Here page for more detailed info on all the ways to get to the festival.

Travel & Lodging

  1. Where to Fly/Train/Bus Into
  2. Where To Stay
  1. Where to Fly/Train/Bus Into

Flying? There are three airports that service the NYC area: LGA, JFK, and EWR. EWR is located in New Jersey and is bit a further away so keep that in mind when booking.

Taking the Train? You can take Amtrak, NJ transit or LIRR into into Penn Station, and you can take Metro North into Grand Central Station.

Rocking the Bus? You can take most major bus lines into Port Authority, and some smaller bus lines to other parts of the city. Just make sure your final destination is in the city and you’ll be good.

  2. Where To Stay

This year we are thrilled to partner with Hotels for Hope to offer a variety of accommodations for every style and budget! Hotel with a pool? They got those! Room with a view? Yep. On a budget? No worries, Hotels for Hope has the guaranteed LOWEST rates (yep, even compared to those DIY book your own hotel sites). Best part: when you book with Hotels for Hope a donation will be made to one of our favorite charities: Answer The Call. Check out Hotels For Hope’s online booking portal HERE.

  5. Ticket Protection

We now offer 100% Ticket Protection in the event that you cannot attend the festival for a valid, documented reason. The cost is 6% of the ticket price and can be added to your order during the purchase process. For additional information on ticket protection, please refer to Front Gate Tickets page or call (888) 512-SHOW (7469).

  6. Craigslist, StubHub & Scalping

Every year, some of our fans think that buying a wristband via Craigslist, StubHub, or any broker site will save them some cash and allow them to access the festival. Unfortunately, many of these are either already used or are counterfeits. Once a wristband has changed hands from its original owner, there is nothing we can do to remedy any issues.

If you want 100% confidence, you must purchase your Tickets at www.themeadowsnyc.com/tickets every single time.

Often times, fans will try to sell their wristbands to others if they cannot attend a certain day. Unfortunately, the removing of a wristband automatically voids it. Our security team will ensure that every wristband has not been tampered with. If caught, you will be escorted away from the festival grounds.

  7. Meadows After Parties Tickets

The Meadows After Parties take place around NYC after the festival has concluded each night. You do not need a Meadows Festival Wristband to attend these shows, and information on the 2017 Meadows After Parties shows will be released as we get closer to the festival. Stay tuned!

Once you have activated your wristband, you will have the option to register for Meadows Cashless which adds quick and easy payments throughout the park.

    • No need to carry cash or a credit card
    • Accepted at all bars, food vendors, and festival merch tents
  7. How Does The Meadows Cashless Work?

It’s easy! You just need to take three simple steps:

    • Activate your festival ticket with the unique ID located on the wristband during which time you will also have the option to link your credit card to your wristband and set a required PIN for security. Now you’re registered for Cashless too!

    • Then tap your wristband, add a tip amount, enter your PIN, and go!
  8. Is The Meadows Cashless Secure?

Yes! It works in conjunction with your credit card so it carries all the same security features and protection. You will also set a PIN during registration (just like a debit card), so no one else will be able to use your wristband or your Cashless Account without your PIN.

  9. I Already Activated My Wristband, But Missed The Meadows Cashless. What Should I Do?

Don’t stress! Visit either box office or the festival information tent inside the festival, and our staff can help you add Meadows Cashless and set your PIN right there!

For more immediate assistance before the festival, please contact our ticket service provider, Front Gate Tickets, or by calling their friendly support team at 888.512.SHOW (7469) Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.

  10. Can I Link Multiple Credit or Debit Cards to My Wristband?

No. You will only be able to link a single credit or debit card to your wristband.

  11. Are There Fees? Will My Wristband Run Out of Money?

There are no fees for using Meadows Cashless. Your wristband will not run out of money unless the card you linked it to does. No funds are stored to the wristband, it’s just linked to your credit or debit card. As long as you could still use your card, you will still be able to use your Cashless wristband.

  12. Can I Link the Same Card to Multiple Wristbands?

Yes. If you wish to allow your card to be linked to multiple wristbands, you certainly can. Each wristband will require a separate PIN. The PIN must be entered when using the wristband to purchase anything participating in the Cashless program at the festival.

  13. Is My Credit Card Information Stored on My Wristband?

No. We do not actually store any financial data on the wristband. The PIN you choose upon Cashless registration will always be required to make a purchase. However your card number and billing details are not stored on the wristband. So don’t worry about someone snagging your info.

  14. What Happens if My Wristband is Damaged?

First, don’t panic. We can help! Bring your damaged wristband to the Info Tent at the festival and we can replace any activated wristband after verifying your ownership. There is a wristband replacement charge of $20.00 per wristband. You will have to re-link your credit card for security purposes. Then you will be back in action!

  2. Transportation Options

Parking is not provided. Transportation options are listed here: http://themeadowsnyc.com/getting-here/, and a description of accessibility for these options is here:

Bus: Citi Field is serviced by the Q48 bus. They are all accessible and equipped with lifts.

Subway: Customers needing to use the station’s accessible features must board the 7 local. Green lights illuminated in the shape of a circle around the 7 route marker identify the train as a local. Access is available from 90 minutes before until 45 minutes after The Meadows Festival.

ADA access to the station is from Flushing-bound trains only. MTA Long Island Rail Road customers must transfer at Woodside to/from the 7 to the festival.

Take ramps to Roosevelt Avenue exit.

For more information on this drop-off location, please email us at access@themeadowsnyc.com!

  3. Description of the Festival Site

The Meadows Music & Arts Festival is held on the flat, paved, and well-maintained parking area for the Citi Field Stadium. Please come prepared to get around this event on your own. Getting to the entrance of the festival from the subway or the vehicle drop off point is about a quarter mile. Traveling around the circumference of the festival is about half a mile. Some people may opt to bring a wheelchair, scooter, or someone to assist.

  4. Mobility Devices

Mobility devices such as manual and motorized wheelchairs, three and four-wheeled scooters, walkers, crutches, braces and canes, are welcome at this event. Other mobility devices need to be pre-approved by The Meadows to make sure they are safe to use in this situation. Contact access@themeadowsnyc.com with the make and model of your device and a link to the manufacturer’s website. Send your request at least one week before the event. We may need time to research the device.

Because of the distances that need to be covered, some people who do not always use mobility devices such as wheelchairs or scooters may wish to bring one. They are typically available to rent from your local medical supply house, or ask your search engine “rent wheelchair/scooter near me.” Explain that you will be operating the chair on grass so larger, fatter tires are best. You may want to get a chair with large wheels that you may operate yourself, as well as handles in the back in case you need help getting through the grassy sections.

  5. American Sign Language Interpreters

American Sign Language interpreter services will be provided upon request only. Please contact access@themeadowsnyc.com. We ask that you submit your request as soon as you purchase a ticket, and if possible, by September 5, 2016. The sooner we have your request, the sooner we can confirm the most experienced music interpreters available – you know, the ones that book way in advance. Also, interpreters are most successful when they have time to study the music, learn lyrics etc. Last minute requests can be difficult to fulfill but we’ll do our best.

  6. Entering and Exiting Systems for Patrons with Mobility Disabilities

Main Entrance: As you approach the Main Entrance, both the far left and far right side lanes are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

  7. Viewing Platforms

Stop by the Access HQ to request a wristband giving permission to use these ADA Viewing Areas. These viewing areas are reserved for patrons with mobility disabilities and one companion, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at each of the four stages. Folding chairs are provided. Look for the wheelchair symbol sign. Families with 2 adults and children under 18 may remain together on the platforms.

  8. Accessible Portable Toilets

Are available at the ends of each row of restrooms throughout the festival grounds and near to most accessible viewing platforms.

  9. Medical

There are two medical stations, one near the Main Entrance and one diagonal to Stage 3.

If you use portable oxygen tanks, please write to access@themeadowsnyc.com for our procedures.

All prescription medication must be in prescription packaging with your name on the prescription label. Bring only the amount needed for your own personal use. Be ready to show photo ID. Syringes must be accompanied by prescription medication. Tip: Ask your pharmacist for small travel-size prescription bottles. Ice is available for purchase if you need to keep meds cool.

  10. Service Animals are Welcome, Pets are Not

Persons with disabilities and their service dogs or miniature horses that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for those persons with disabilities are welcome at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival, as are service animals in training accompanied by a documented trainer from a formal training program. Other types of animals and pets are not allowed.

A service animal must be trained and if it does not adhere to the following conditions the handler will have to remove the animal from the site. The handler may return without the animal. The animal must:

    • be housebroken
    • be under the control of its handler at all times
    • not threaten the health or safety of any person or animal

Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal. If a service animal is injured the result may be fines and/or imprisonment.

Anyone who has questions or needs regarding their service animal may write to access@themeadowsnyc.com or stop by the Access HQ during the festival.

  11. Hearing Protection for Your Kids

To help protect your child’s hearing, stop by the Access HQ to borrow a set of Baby Banz earmuffs. We have sizes for infants and children up to age 12. The Access HQ is just inside the Main Entrance. Put down a $30 refundable deposit and if you return the muffs at the end of the day/weekend, your deposit is returned. If you don’t return them, we’ll deduct the $30 from your deposit after the festival. Supplies are limited so be sure to get them when you first arrive.

  1. What is MyFest?

MyFest allows you to create and keep a customized schedule based on artists you want to see. You can then share your schedule with your friends so you can plan beforehand together.

  2. What Happens If I Don't Create a MyFest Account?

Basically nothing, except you can’t customize and save your festival schedule. Signing up for MyFest does not sign you up for our e-mail list and it doesn’t mean we’ll bug you with unwanted updates. So, there really is no reason to not sign up, ammi right?!

  3. What Can I "Add" To MyFest?

Anything that has a “+” or “+ ADD” button. This can include, but not limited to:

    • Bands on the Lineup Page
    • Individual Artist Pages
    • Set Times from the Schedule Page

Keep an eye out for the “+” or “+ ADD” and make sure to click that button. Once you add something to MyFest, you will see the green bar on the left light up. This means your time has successfully been added to your MyFest so that you can stay updated with special notifications.

You can always remove something from MyFest as quickly as you can add it. Just look out for the “-“ or “- REMOVE” button.

  4. What Is the Difference Between "E-List" And "MyFest"?

MyFest is how you customize your Meadows experience. It is how you create a Custom Schedule, Custom Lineup and Custom Festival. Anything you add will be added to your customized MyFest on themeadowsnyc.com.

To stay even more connected to what’s happening with The Meadows, sign up for our E-list to receive email updates directly to your e-mail inbox about:

    • The Meadows After Parties
    • Artist giveaways
    • Super-special deals
    • Updates on future festival tickets and future lineups!
  5. How Do I Sign In To MyFest?

You can access MyFest by clicking on the horizontal “MyFest” green bar at the top of each page.* Simply click on your picture, if you’ve already logged in. If this is your first time logging in, click on the silhouette image in the circle at the top of the side bar to get going on MyFest.

This bar lives on every page and will keep you signed in once you log in. So you can go explore artists and craft your schedule, and always have access to your MyFest from every page.

*If you’re planning your festival from your mobile device, the MyFest access bar will be at the top of every page.

  6. MyFest Custom Page Privacy

If you don’t want your custom MyFest page to be public, go to the MyFest Account Page (located in the footer) and click the “Make Your Festival Private…” button.

  7. What Is The Music Player?

The music player is a collection of tracks from artists appearing at The Meadows. It will stream continuously as you navigate throughout different pages of the website. You can activate the player without being signed into MyFest, either by clicking the play button on the left side of this page, on the Lineup or Schedule Page or any Band’s Page.
